I was working as a campus operator for a university and medical center. I had a man call one day and he instantly started yelling at me to find him a doctor. Just any doctor. There are probably thousands of doctors at this hospital. He goes on to tell me in GREAT detail about his hemorrhoids and how his medication had been used up and described in length how his hemorrhoids had been acting up, oozing and swelling. I could not get him to stop talking and I just wanted to throw up! He also told me his lengthy problems with how he was homeless or unemployed or something to that effect and how he didn’t have insurance and it was MY responsibility to find him a doctor and get him his medication! This happened a few years ago, but I can still picture that call happening and how disgusted I was!
